Work & Travel Australia

Experience all the exciting possibilities of living and working ‘down under’! Explore the outback, dive at the Great Barrier Reef or enjoy the vibrant city life of Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. On our Work & Travel Australia program you have complete flexibility to live and work any where in Australia for up to one year.  Program participants have free use of our resource centers located in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne for the duration of your time in Australia. 

Choose from several arrival packages including Essentials, Basic and Farm stay.  You also have the option of purchasing the Lonely Planet Guide and adding additional nights at the hostel to any of our packages.

Essentials package - cost $475
Work & Travel Australia Essentials package includes

  • Assistance obtaining a Work and Holiday Visa - We provide step-by-step instructions on how to secure your visa
  • Pre-departure assistance and guidance to help prepare for your trip to Australia
  • Program Handbook - Includes tips on What to Pack, Money Matters, Surviving the flight, Arrival in Australia and much more!
  • Discounted travel insurance options with $0 deductibles and $1,000,000 in medical coverage
  • Detailed Welcome and Travel Presentations held every weekday
  • Job workshops held every weekday  - Learn how to build an effective resume (CV), how to source jobs and successfully apply for them, how to generate interviews and how to conduct yourself during the interview
  • Job assistance for up to12 months - talk to one of our experienced Job Specialists to receive customized information and advice about how to secure the perfect job for you.
  • Assistance opening a bank account
  • Tax File registration number (required to be able to work in Australia)
  • 12 months International YHA membership
  • Access to Work n Holiday’s Member’s Area where you can search for jobs, accommodation, and chat with other participants
  • Use of office facilities
  • Free and unlimited internet access
  • 24 hour Emergency Hotline
  • Mail holding and forwarding
  • Luggage storage (Sydney only)  - free for the first 4 weeks!

Basic package - cost $560

  • Essentials Package, plus..
  • Two nights’ accommodation (with breakfast) at a 4.5/5 star hostel.
  • Free bus transfer from the local airport (Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane) to your accommodation

Farm Stay package - cost $780

Our Farm Stay package offers pre-placement on a conventional or organic farm for 4-16 weeks.  You will help on the farm for 20-30 hours per week in exchange for meals and accommodation.

The package also includes:

  • Essentials Package, plus..
  • Two nights’ accommodation (with breakfast) at a 4.5/5 star hostel.
  • Free bus transfer from the local airport (Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane) to your accommodation
  • National WWOOF (Willing Workers On Organic Farms) membership

Please note, we will need a minimum of 6 weeks to find a suitable farm placement. If you are dissatisfied with your placement after arrival, a replacement farm will be found free of charge but it may take up to 2 weeks to find another placement.
