How to Apply
Please set up an IENA account, complete the online IENA Outbound Program application and upload the following documents to your IENA account:
- Completed IENA program reference.
- Local police background check (does not need to be an FBI check).
- A copy of your passport bio page (the page with your photo and passport details).
- Your resume detailing your education and work experience.
- One digital photo, head and shoulders shot (approximately 2” by 2”).
- TEFL/TESOL certificate (if applicable).
- Pay the non-refundable program application fee $50.
Option A – Already TEFL/TESOL Certified $995
If you already have your internationally accredited 120 or more TEFL/TESOL certification the cost of the 6-day orientation program including 6 nights shared accommodation* and a five or twelve-month renewable teaching contract starting in January, May or October 2017.
Option B – Online TEFL/TESOL120-hour certification course, orientation and teaching placement $1,194.
Includes cost of online 120-hour internationally accredited TEFL/TESOL certification followed by 6-day orientation including 6 nights shared accommodation* and a five or twelve-month renewable teaching contract starting in January, May or October 2017.
Option C – On location TEFL/TESOL certification, orientation and teaching placement $1,795.
Includes the cost of the on-location, Bangkok, Buriram or Phuket 15-day 120 hour internationally accredited TEFL/TESOL certification, including shared accommodation* throughout the on-location course, followed by 6-day orientation program (including 6 nights shared accommodation) and a five or twelve-month renewable teaching contract starting in January, May or October 2017.
*4-6 teachers will share a dorm style room. Each will have their own bed in the room. A surcharge of approximately US$25 or more per night will apply if you require a private room.
A non-refundable application fee of $50 is payable at the time of application. On acceptance to the program an additional deposit totaling 25% of the program fee is required to secure your place on the program. The remaining balance of your program fee is due in full no less than 30 days prior to your program commencement date.

- Accommodation and daily living expenses
The program application fee in the amount of $50 and the 25% program deposit are non-refundable.
If you cancel more than 30 days prior to your program commencement date you will be refunded any fees paid so far minus the non-refundable application fee and program deposit.
If you cancel less than 30 days prior to your program commencement date, no refund is possible.
In all cases a cancellation must be received in writing and is only effective from the date we receive it. Remember also that separate cancellation fees and conditions will undoubtedly apply to any flight bookings you make.
