Set Up Your Insurance!
All exchange visitors sponsored by IENA receive up to 123 days of health insurance through their program. Each applicant is responsible to extend their health insurance to cover the full duration of their stay in the US. This step is very important- healthcare in the US is very expensive, so take steps now to make sure you are covered!
All exchange visitors must be covered by the IENA medical insurance for the entire duration of your stay in the US.
STEP 1: CONFIRM YOUR INSURANCE DATES!
Instructions
You will need your flight information to complete this step.
- Log-in to your IENA profile (click Here)
- Click on the “GO TO 2026 CONTROL PANEL” button.

- You can now access your insurance in two spots:
- On the left hand side of your dashboard under the “Insurance” section
- Scroll to the bottom of your dashboard, to the section titled “Other items needed to be completed.” Click the “Insurance” icon

- Enter the dates you are ARRIVING to the US and DEPARTING the US. These should match your US arrival and departure flights. This will update your health insurance dates to cover your entire stay in the US.
- If you do not input your flight dates here, you will only be insured for your contract/ DS 2019 Form dates!
- All exchange visitors must be covered by the IENA medical insurance for the entire duration of your stay in the US. This is a Department of State requirement for the BridgeUSA program.

- Download your insurance card! Once you have entered your US arrival & departure dates above, you will be able to download your insurance card via the “Insurance” tab on your IENA dashboard. You can also change your insurance dates here, if your travel itinerary changes.
- This is the only access to change your insurance dates, if needed!
- Digitally add your insurance card to your Apple Wallet or Android Wallet!

STEP 2: COMPLETE YOUR MYIMG PROFILE!
- For full access to your policy and claims, please set up and login to your MyIMG profile. All applicants should complete this step before traveling to the US! By preregistering for the MyIMG account, if you visit a doctor this summer, all claims will be automatically processed on your behalf via this account! Failure to create a MyIMG profile in advance means you need to manually file a claim if you go to the doctor!
- Bookmark the Envisage Student Zone for your health insurance! This is the digital dashboard for your insurance policy, and a great resource to help you find a local, in-network doctor, schedule virtual care, access your documents, and more.

If you have already set up your MyIMG profile and adjusted your insurance dates in IENA, you are all set! Review the rest of this email and confirm you are ready for your Summer Adventure.
As you are adjusting your insurance dates, please remember the following:
-You are only eligible to stay in the US for up to 30 days past your last day of work at camp (your contract dates are listed on the DS-2019 form). You will be in violation of your program if you remain in the US longer than 30 days after camp. As a result, insurance will not be issued beyond 30 days after your last day of work.
-If your insurance coverage exceeds 4 months (123 days), you will be required to pay for an extra month of insurance beyond 4 months. There is an extra fee for this. If you select dates that are longer than 4 months, you will be invoiced directly for this extra insurance time. Please note, your new insurance dates will not be confirmed until this invoice is paid! If the invoice is NOT paid and your insurance is NOT confirmed, IENA reserves the right to withdraw your program, due to lack of adequate insurance coverage.
All exchange visitors must be covered by the IENA medical insurance for the entire duration of your stay in the US. This is a Department of State requirement for the BridgeUSA program. This is not just your camp work dates, but must start with the date you arrive in the US, until the date you depart the US. Therefore, once you book your flights to camp, you must login to your IENA account and adjust your insurance dates of coverage to match your flight dates.
The cost of health insurance and medical visits differs around the world, and unfortunately in the US, healthcare is very expensive.
We cannot stress enough how important it is to extend your insurance coverage for the entirety of your stay in the US, or you may be in violation of your program and personally liable for full medical costs if you are not insure
