An Important Message From New Zealand Customs and Border Patrol
The New Zealand Government is placing temporary entry restrictions into New Zealand on all foreign nationals travelling from, or transiting mainland China to assist with the containment of the novel coronavirus.
Any foreign travellers who leave or transit mainland China after 2 February 2020 New Zealand time will be refused entry to New Zealand.
We are working closely with our border sector colleagues to implement these new entry criteria.
All travellers will now be individually processed by Customs Officers. No travellers will be allowed to use eGates.
This is likely to result in longer lines at airports, and we ask for your patience as we check your travel documents.”
We have found that it is only taking an extra 30-40 minutes to get through. But we just wanted to give you an update for now. If you want to more information please see the link here: https://www.customs.govt.nz/about-us/news/important-notices/coronavirus-update/
