What is the Summer Work Travel Program?

• This is a public diplomacy cultural exchange program (J-1 visa) with a work component

• Participants are international university students on a J-1 visa who live and work in seasonal communities during their summer vacation

• Over 1500 participants live and work in Williamsburg each summer

• After working for a maximum of four months, participants have up to one month to travel around the United States
