The Alliance for International Exchange conducted a 2017 study about the SWT program. In their survey of 460 employers who had hired exchange visitors, they found that:
- 90% of employers were either satisfied or very satisfied with the SWT exchange visitor program
- 90% said they would be likely or very likely to recommend the program
- 98% said that SWT exchange visitors brought fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the workplace
